General reminiscence activities at Eastbourne WRVS
By Nicola Benge
During the spring of 2007 the WRVS in Eastbourne ran a series of introductory reminiscence sessions with freelance facilitator Nicola Benge, around a number of themes as part of the Heritage Plus Project.
The members of the group were Allan and Betty, George and Pearl, Barbara, Meg and Marjorie.
The group met once a week and remembered childhood friends, growing up, a big night out, meeting future husbands and wives, Eastbourne in the blitz, bringing up a family and youthful games.
Look at these photos of the participants, and then visit our Archive section to see the results of the sessions. Photos were brought in and memories were recorded. In the Archive section you can click a name to see some amazing photographs and read some of the anecdotes from the sessions. The activities led to a reminscence booklet which can be found in the Product section of the site.
