Afternoon entertainment with Mr Jack Buchanan

A one man show of debonair delight!
By Nicola Benge

Portslade WRVS organised this free afternoon theatre show called 'That's Entertainment' about the life of Jack Buchanan, devised and performed by Michael Chance with the pianist Geoffrey Brawn, fresh from London performances.

This show included a free afternoon cream tea and was from 2 - 5pm, Friday 25th April 2008 at St Richards Community Centre, Egmont Road, Hove BN3 7FP.

Michael Chance was born on the day that Jack Buchanan died. Michael has been fascinated by this elegant man since this discovery and was inspired to put together this show which takes us gently through Jack Buchanan's story; his life, his loves. Michael recreates many of those well-loved songs which include And Her Mother Came Too, They Didn't Believe Me, Goodnight Vienna and of course his theme song That's Entertainment.
