Over 50s event in Hove - October 2008

A great event was held on the 28th of October 2008, attended by many diverse over 50's groups from across the wider Portslade, Hangleton and Hove area. WRVS Heritage Plus Portslade had a stall, where we linked up with different groups such as the Knollites history group from Hangleton and Knoll, and advertised our new set of reminiscence activities in Portslade at South Portslade Community centre, Church Road, Portslade which begin on Tuesday 4th December.

It was a lovely day, with Silver Sounds Samba band (all members over 60), accompanying us on their drums, homemade soup, lots of freebies and bonhomie. A great number of people turned up to look at the stalls and chat making it a very positive and successful event!
