On Thursday 11th February 2010, WRVS Heritage Plus Portslade was lucky enough to have a visit from two musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra to play a short concert for the participants of the WRVS Heritage Plus project at Elizabeth Court sheltered home in Hove.

The two talented musician, a viola and violin player played a set of duets and pieces from their repertoire, as well as taking time to answer questions about life in an orchestra, rehearsals and conductors. A big theme being, so do conductors actually do anything!

Everyone present had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the privilege of hearing the beautiful music and from such august musicians. Many thanks to the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Education and Community Department for allowing us to enjoy this treat!
